Very nice set of cabinets. Assembly is effortless, with picture instructions and a little plastic organizer that contains almost all of the hardware. Besides the color, the new versions offer quite a few improvements. For the floor standing units, the pedestals are a bit taller making it easier to reach things on the shelves, the shelves are more sturdy and robust, and the doors come with self-closing hinges. Putting the backing on is also easier since they provide predrilled holes and you can install it from the front.
Another nice touch is that the glossy metallic doors are covered with protective plastic so that they don't get scuffed in transport. The only thing you might need from Home Depot is a package of little rubber bumpers for the bottom of the doors so that they close silently when they contact the cabinet. Overall, nice quality product.
Just wanted to say thank you for all of the information you provided regarding the updated cabinet design. Besides the color, these are a really nice improvement from the previous version. For the floor standing cabinets, the pedestals are a bit taller which means I don't have to bend over so far to get stuff out, the shelves are far more sturdy and robust, and the doors have the nice soft, self-closing feature. Assembly is effortless and they even did a nice little improvement with the cabinet backing that enables you to put the backing in from the front into pre-drilled holes. All very nice updates.
